How to Choose Quality Essential Oils
Do you need some answers when it comes to finding good essential oils? Here are some common questions that are asked, followed by answers. These might help you figure out the best oils for you!
Why Cheap Oils Aren’t the Answer
Chances are you’re buying essential oils to help you clean your home or naturally treat ailments. With that said, buying cheap oils may not help in either area. Many of these cheap oils are either diluted, scented with ingredients that aren’t natural, or may be old.
In some cases, the plant it claims to come from may not even be included in the product. This leaves you wondering what you’re using on your skin. In other words, there are too many questions about what the products actually contain. This can make skin problems even worse.

Ways to Determine Quality
When shopping for essential oils, there are several things you want to avoid. First of all, if the bottle says that it’s scented, such as lavender scented oil, you want to skip it. The product more than likely does not contain lavender.
You also want to avoid plastic bottles. Plastic can leach into the oil over time and destroy the quality of the oil. You should also avoid oils that look like they’ve been sitting on the shelf for a long time. Oils can and do go rancid. The age of the oil will also affect the quality.
Let’s now talk about what you should look for. You want to purchase essentials oils that are pure. That means that the oil that the bottle claims it is is the only ingredient. You also want to purchase dark glass bottles. This will protect the oil from the light, which can reduce the quality. Lastly, you want to choose a company that has been in business for a long time and has good reviews.
The simple truth is cheap essential oils will not save you money. Once you see how poor quality these oils are, you’ll toss them. Instead of investing in poor quality oils, look for quality oils and remember that you’re only using a few drops here and there. In other words, you don’t need to buy the largest bottle. Small bottles can be more affordable, while still maintaining quality.
