Tips for making Rose Bud Shower Steamers

The biggest thing to remember while you’re making these shower steamers is that you need to mix them well. The mixture should be a bit of a paste like texture once you’re done and that is when you’re going to add it to the mold.

Make certain that you gather up your list of ingredients that you need before you get started. Once you start this shower melt recipe, you’re not going to want to stop until you’re done!

Put the rose petals in the bottom of the mold as shown below. Sometimes I like to add in a bit more because I really just like the way that they look. (and smell, of course!)

When you’re adding the mixture to the molds, really add it in there and fill up the hole. Pack it down slightly so that as it dries, it sticks together and holds its shape.

Why are my shower melts not sticking together?

If the shower melts aren’t holding their shapes, there are a couple of things that might be happening. You might need to let them dry out for longer, even up to 48 hours.

The other reason that you might not have melts that are sticking together is that you didn’t pack it quite tightly in the mold. Keep in mind that if they don’t stick together, you can still put them in the bottom of the shower and use them, so don’t toss them out!

You’ll just know for next time to pack them better! It’s all a learning process and that’s just part of it! Have fun with this DIY Rose and Ylang Ylang Shower Melts Tutorial!

How do you use shower melts?

They’re so simple and easy to use. Once you have them made, you just need to add one to your shower floor the next time that you take a shower.

The water and the steam will break it down so it goes down the drain but not before it releases the awesome scent and smell!
